Tesla Celebrates 70,000 Supercharger Stalls

Tesla has hit another major milestone in its continued global charging network expansion: 70,000 Supercharger stalls are now live across 53 countries worldwide, the company announced Friday through its official @TeslaCharging account on X.

The 70,000th post opened in Burleson, Texas, part of a 12-stall Supercharger site that joins Tesla’s rapidly growing infrastructure across North America and beyond. This achievement highlights just how quickly Tesla is scaling its Supercharging network to keep up with growing EV adoption and stay ahead of competitors in the fast-charging space.

“Go anywhere. 70,000 Supercharger posts across 53 countries, and counting!” the company said in a celebratory tweet, underscoring Tesla’s long-standing goal of making long-distance EV travel seamless and convenient.

Tesla’s Supercharger network remains one of its biggest advantages, offering industry-leading charging speeds, reliability, and widespread coverage — especially in regions where third-party charging options are still catching up.

The 70,000-stall milestone also comes as Tesla begins testing a new virtual queuing system for Superchargers, designed to reduce wait times during rare periods of congestion. This feature, now being pressure-tested internally, would let drivers join a charging queue remotely and arrive just in time to plug in, enhancing efficiency and user experience at high-demand locations.

With its Supercharging network growing almost 20% year-over-year, Tesla’s latest milestone is a clear sign that it’s not just building cars — it’s building the infrastructure to support an all-electric future.
