Gold Cybertruck Owner Faces Road Rage and Hate Over His Ride
A Massachusetts man says he’s facing threats and harassment over his gold Tesla Cybertruck.
Dr. Kumait Jaroje, who owns the distinctive vehicle, found a profane sticker on the back of his truck last week. The words were too offensive to repeat. His wife was shaken by the incident, urging him not to drive the truck anymore, reports WBZ.
Jaroje says the harassment escalated after Tesla CEO Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump. Musk now leads the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency. Since then, Jaroje claims people have tried to run him off the road, and some have confronted him aggressively.
“Somebody tried to cut me off while I was driving with my kids. Three guys got out of the car, flipped me off, and started screaming,” he said.
Looking at this Foundation Series Cybertruck, the stick looks to say something along the lines of possibly “F off”.
The Cybertruck’s eye-catching gold color was meant to promote Jaroje’s medical spa, which he built from scratch three years ago. Now, he’s considering trading it in but says Tesla isn’t accepting Cybertruck trade-ins at the moment.
As a Syrian immigrant, Jaroje says he values free speech but is troubled by the hostility he’s received.
“If you disagree, don’t retaliate. Don’t be violent. Don’t try to hurt your neighbor. We’re all human,” he said.
