Tesla Launches New Model Y in Canada and U.S. with Bundled Extras
Tesla has launched its new Model Y in Canada and the United States, following its earlier debut in China this month. The updated electric SUV features a completely redesigned exterior, upgraded interior, and enhanced performance for a more refined driving experience.
Despite the new Model Y launch, the existing Model Y is still available for purchase as Tesla ramps up production.
The new Model Y’s exterior is optimized for maximum efficiency with:
- Improved aerodynamics for better range, performance, and longevity.
- Updated wheels, tires, and brakes paired with a retuned suspension for smoother, quieter rides.
- A groundbreaking indirect reflective taillight, the first of its kind.
Inside, the Model Y offers a luxurious and high-tech cabin:
- Acoustic glass and invisible speakers create a whisper-quiet, immersive soundscape.
- Heated and ventilated seats with soft-touch textiles enhance comfort.
- An 8-inch touchscreen for rear passengers adds convenience and entertainment.
- Enhanced connectivity improves range for Tesla’s Phone Key and provides faster WiFi and cellular speeds.
With power-folding second-row seats, the Model Y offers up to 76 cubic feet of storage, perfect for gear and groceries. A hands-free trunk unlocks automatically as you approach.
Tesla’s hallmark over-the-air updates ensure the Model Y stays cutting-edge. The SUV includes a 15.4-inch touchscreen, access to Tesla’s 65,000+ Superchargers, and entertainment options for all passengers.
Now, Glacier Blue, the new colour that debuted in China, is not available at launch. Stealth Grey, Pearl White Multi-Coat, Ultra Red and Quicksilver are included.
Available now, the redesigned Model Y is engineered for safety, comfort, and efficiency. Learn more at tesla.com or watch the launch video here.
Current Model Y Pricing in the USA is as follows:
- Long Range RWD: $44,990
- Long Range AWD: $47,990
- Performance AWD: $51,490
- New Model Y Long Range AWD (Limited Launch Series): $59,990
Now, the new Model Y Launch Series includes Full Self-Driving (FSD) in its price, which normally is $8,000. Also included are 20-inch Helix 2.0 Wheels ($2,000), white interior ($1,000), plus a Mobile Charger (normally $275), Tow Hitch ($1,000) and Acceleration Boost (normally $2,000), plus premium color choices of Pearl White Multi-Coat/Ultra Red ($1,000) or Quicksilver ($2,000)
That’s a lot of bundled extras in the $59,990 price, that would normally be $16,275 on top for the Long Range AWD, taking the latter to $61,990. So the new fully-loaded Model Y is cheaper and newer.
