Tesla’s Model Y, the world’s best-selling vehicle, is set to receive a striking new look in its latest refresh, known informally as the “Juniper” or “Opal” update, according to images shared by @onlyforadawong (via @Tslachan).
The redesign introduces a sleeker rear end featuring a stretched light bar and a more dramatic front overhaul compared to Tesla’s recent “Highland” update for the Model 3.

The distinctive front design of the current Model Y have been replaced with a smoother front profile, while the rear Tesla logo has been swapped for bold “TESLA” text badging. Adding to its futuristic appeal, the refresh includes a light bar reminiscent of the Cybertruck’s design and Cybercab.

The redesigned Model Y has been spotted undergoing winter testing in China, sparking speculation about potential performance upgrades, including advancements in drivetrain, battery, or software. Rumors point to possible pre-orders debuting later this month.
We thought we’d see Tesla use a similar Model 3 refresh design for the headlights on this Model Y refresh. But now we see a full light bar on the front and rear. Stay tuned folks, things are heating up.
