Tesla has introduced a $60 USD Cybertruck Metal Key Card, a durable stainless-steel alternative to its standard plastic key cards that come included with vehicle purchases.
Designed for convenience and versatility, the key card provides an alternative way to access the Cybertruck when a phone key isn’t available (you should always carry a key card with you, in case your phone key craps out), such as when sharing the vehicle with a friend or valet. Being fully-designed in metal, it’s the perfect compliment to your Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton.
The package includes one metal key card and a bifold wallet for storage. However, Tesla notes that the card only grants access from the driver’s side of the vehicle, not the passenger side.
The key card is exclusively available to Tesla vehicle owners. To purchase, customers must sign in to their Tesla account linked to their registered vehicle to verify ownership.
Tesla also offers the option to pay in four interest-free installments of $15, if you want to buy this on financing.
