Tesla Adds New Navigation Voice: How to Get It
Tesla owners eager for fresh in-car experiences have a new option to consider, as the company has quietly introduced an additional navigation voice, that some say sounds like Apple’s Siri.
However, accessing this feature currently requires performing a factory reset of the vehicle’s system, which is not something you want to do.
This was confirmed working on Dan Burkland’s Model S and Brandon’s Model Y, as noted by Not a Tesla App.
“Looks like my Model S has the new nav voice which sounds much more human-like than the previous voice,” said Burkland. Check out his video below:

“Factory Reset added the new Nav voice! Not for the faint of heart as you’ll need to setup a lot of things. Hopefully a future software update will bring the change to everyone without doing this,” said Brandon. “And now I have a new speed icon showing for school zones,” he added.

To get the new voice, you’ll need to perform a factory reset on your vehicle, which will restore all settings to their original defaults.
You can initiate this by navigating to Controls > Service > Factory Reset in your vehicle. While this process resets everything, many settings are backed up to your Tesla profile in the cloud, provided you’ve set one up. However, some settings aren’t stored in your profile and will be lost during the reset.
