James May, known for his roles on “Top Gear” and “The Grand Tour,” recently shared his thoughts on driving the Tesla Cybertruck. May expressed a positive view of Tesla’s Cybertruck, calling its design “very ballsy” and applauding its innovative approach.
May also suggested to Tesla CEO Elon Musk that the company consider making a smaller version of the Cybertruck, akin to the size of a Model Y (or even smaller). He also noted some of the difficult ways to hide imperfections when you build a vehicle with stainless steel and straight lines. He didn’t want to get hit by a car, let alone the corner of a Cybertruck. May took out a steel ruler to check out if any panels were curved or not.
“I don’t want a Cybertruck. It’s too big,” says May. “But I can’t help but like it,” he added. “It makes everything else look square.” May says it’s a Tesla and reminds him of his Model 3 Highland.
