Tesla’s Robotaxi Unveil Now Set for October, Says Elon Musk

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has provided an update on when the company will hold its highly-anticipated Robotaxi unveil. On the company’s Q2 earnings call, Musk said the new Robotaxi unveil date will be on 10/10, or October 10, 2024.

The company originally has scheduled the Robotaxi unveil date as 8/8, August 8, but the date was pushed back on Musk’s request to make some design changes.

Tesla’s Q2 noted it plans to create more affordable vehicles in 2025 there’s no doubt that its Robotaxi platform will help lead this charge.

When will Tesla have its first Robotaxi ride? Musk said, “possibly by the end of this year, next year seems highly probably for miles between interventions as that would exceed humans,” referring to FSD Unsupervised.

Musk said there will also be a more affordable EV in 2025, so stay tuned on that.
