2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance 1/4 Mile Time Nears 10 Seconds
An owner of Tesla’s 2024 Model 3 Performance, MFAM Tesla (@JoshuaThePilot), has shared screenshots revealing the performance metrics of the new electric sedan.
The screenshots displayed a quarter-mile time of 11.09 seconds and a 0-60 mph time of 3.15 seconds (2.92 seconds with a 1-foot rollout).
“You asked and you shall receive,” the Tesla owner commented, noting the conditions: “outside air temperature 69°, state of charge 91%, battery temperature just got done super charging, road conditions. It was raining and wet. I could feel the tire slipping during launch. This is a 10.9 second car under good conditions.”

The blistering quarter-mile time definitely could break the 11-second barrier. That’s a 10-second car at a price starting at $54,990 in the US. Tesla’s Model S Plaid hit the quarter-mile in 8 seconds or so, but costs $87,990 (way cheaper than its starting price of almost $140,000 in 2021).
Tesla’s updated Model 3 Performance has an improved EPA estimated range of 303 miles, up from the previous 296 miles. The electric sedan also boasts a top speed of 163 mph (262 kph).
The base price of the Model 3 Performance is $54,990 in the U.S., which can be reduced to $42,490 after accounting for $7,500 in federal tax credits and $5,000 in five-year gas savings.
“Not bad for a 50k vehicle,” said Joshua.

Nears 11 seconds, not 10.
It’s .09 from 10’s. It’s not nearing 11’s, it deep in the 11’s so it would be “near 10’s”.
Tell us you don’t understand drag race times without telling us you don’t understand drag race times.
I never bothered much with drag races, and even I know a “10-second car” is one that does the quarter mile in the 10.xx second range, not “as close to 10 flat as possible”.
Still handles abysmal. Get the inoniq 5n for a true track car and pay the extra 20k to have a, rare car not a Tesla model 3 you see on every corner. Same 11 sec and 3 second but can easily do 3 laps around the ring. Even plaid can barely make it 1 time around. But it is the best bang for the buck for most average Joe.
Seems weird that you’re implying that a) any model of car isn’t basically the same as every other similar model on the road (Ioniq 5n is an Ioniq with a different front bumper, different rear splitter, and a spoiler. Sounds the same as the new Model 3 Performance compared to the other Model 3’s). And b) your trying to say that a Plaid can’t manage to go 13 miles around a track?
But yeah…. So much more of a “track” car, when you have to press a button to get a couple seconds of max power from the car at a time. And those fake engine sounds and other crap.
