Tesla has started rolling out its 2024.3.5 software update and this includes Full Self-Driving (FSD) 12.3.6, plus expands the company’s new and improved Vision-based Autopark feature to cars with ultrasonic sensors.
Originally, this new and updated version of Autopark was only available for Tesla cars that did not have ultrasonic sensors and relied only on Tesla Vision for parking. But now, cars with ultrasonic sensors get this new Autopark version too, which is great news. But for now, Intel cars do not get this High Fidelity Park Assist. They only get Autopark where you can tap on the screen but just new visuals.
Here are the release notes according to @BLKMDL3:
- Full Self-Driving (Supervised) 12.3.6
- Autopark Update: When you’re driving at low speed, your display highlights potential parking spaces. Autopark shows a circular P symbol to suggest a space, but you can choose any highlighted space. To start parking, stop the vehicle, press Start, and release the steering wheel so it can move freely. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for more detail. As with all Autopilot features, you must continue to pay attention and be ready to take immediate action including canceling Autopark.
When you go to vehicle settings and go to Park Assist, there’s now a tab for Tesla Vision, beside the Standard setting, which is for cars with AMD chips (not Intel).
