When Will 2024.8 Get Tesla FSD 12.3 (Supervised)?
Many Tesla owners right now are enjoying the free one-month trial to Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 12.3.x, which is a big step change compared to the previous version 11.
Version 12.3.x continues to be based on Tesla’s end-to-end neural network, bringing so many changes that are human-like. But not all Tesla owners are experiencing FSD 12 right now.
Tesla owners on the 2024.8.x software branch still have not seen FSD 12.3.x (Supervised). And some are starting to get impatient about it, understandably so. Many have voiced their frustration on X.
What’s interesting is Tesla has FSD subscriptions available at a recently discounted price of $99 USD in the US and new expansion in Canada at $99 CAD/month. Anyone on 2024.8.x subscribing to FSD subscriptions will get the older version of FSD 11.4.9.
Before he departed Tesla, Rohan Patel, said that the problem of 2024.8.x not getting FSD 12 should be “solved in the next few days”. That was back on April 13, 2024. He said affected vehicles, about 12% of the total fleet are on 2024.8.x.
With Tesla noting to many that FSD 12.3.x trials are ending on April 30, some on 2024.8.x are wondering if they will still get a trial or not.
Nonetheless, if you’re on 2024.8 or 2024.8.9, it definitely sucks to be missing out on FSD 12.3.x (Supervised). It’s not perfect but it’s still a huge update from FSD 11. Let us know by email (tips@teslanorth.com) or on X (@RealTeslaNorth) when you get your update.
