The path to this milestone has been marked by consistent growth in production numbers. It took Tesla six months and thirteen days to progress from producing its 5 millionth to its 6 millionth vehicle, a testament to the company’s accelerating manufacturing capabilities.
Notably, the company reached its 5 millionth car milestone on September 17, 2023, and its 4 millionth car on March 1, 2023.
Tesla’s quarterly production figures further underscore its growth trajectory. For the first quarter of 2024, Tesla projected a production of 433,263 vehicles. This follows a record-setting quarter in the final three months of 2023, where the company produced 494,989 vehicles. Throughout 2023, Tesla’s production figures saw fluctuations, with 430,488 vehicles in Q3, 479,700 in Q2, and 440,808 in Q1.
2024 should see another record year of production for Tesla. The company continues to ramp up its Cybertruck. Let’s wait to see what other surprises Tesla has in store for 2024.
