Tesla Superchargers have been officially installed under third-party charge point operators (CPOs), with the first operational chargers now available at Asda Express in Uttoxeter, in the United Kingdom. This milestone was announced by EG Group, marking the launch of its evpoint charging stations.

EV drivers visiting the Asda Express location can now benefit from ultra-fast Tesla Supercharging facilities, enhancing the convenience of electric vehicle ownership. While their vehicles are being charged, customers can enjoy amenities offered at the site, including Starbucks and Burger King.

EG Group expressed its enthusiasm about the initiative on X, stating, “Big news! @TheEGGroup first evpoint chargers are now operational at Asda Express, Uttoxeter. Get ultra-fast charging & enjoy amenities like Starbucks and Burger King while you wait! Proud to bring you the future of EV charging.”

Tesla Superchargers can charge Tesla vehicles and non-Tesla EVs in Europe.

EG Group first announced it would use Tesla’s Supercharger hardware back in November of 2023. The chargers support the Plug and Charge protocol, making it easy to charge and make payments.
