Tesla FSD Beta 12.1.2 Debuts ‘Automatic Set Speed Offset’ [VIDEO]
Tesla’s latest update to its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, version 12.1.2, includes a new feature called “Automatic Set Speed Offset,” as revealed by a notable FSD tester, @WholeMarsBlog.
This innovative setting allows Tesla’s Autopilot system to autonomously determine and adjust to the most appropriate driving speed based on various real-time conditions.
The Automatic Set Speed Offset feature takes into account several factors to decide the vehicle’s speed. These include the type of road being driven on, the current traffic flow, environmental conditions, and the prevailing speed limit.
Additionally, the setting considers the driver’s selected Full Self-Driving (Beta) Profile, which includes options like Chill, Average, or Assertive, tailoring the driving experience to individual preferences.
Despite this advanced functionality, Tesla emphasizes the importance of driver responsibility. The company makes it clear that the driver remains ultimately accountable for controlling the vehicle’s speed and is expected to intervene whenever necessary. This stipulation underscores Tesla’s commitment to safety, even as it continues to push the boundaries of autonomous driving technology.
