Cybertruck Recharges Ford F-150 Lightning in New Ad
Tesla has released a new advertisement for its Cybertruck, titled “Power Anything.” The ad emphasizes the electric vehicle’s unique capability to supply power in various scenarios, showcasing its built-in 120V and 240V outlets, along with a bi-directional charge port.
“Cybertruck has 120V & 240V outlets on-board, plus a bi-directional charge port. Power your house, another EV, power tools, or even a party off the grid,” Tesla stated, highlighting the vehicle’s versatility.
The Cybertruck’s power capabilities extend to providing 11.5 kW of continuous power, sufficient to run an average home for up to three days. This feature positions the Cybertruck as a potential emergency power source for households.
In a demonstration of its utility, the ad shows the Cybertruck recharging a Ford F-150 Lightning, which had run out of power on the roadside, illustrating its ability to assist other electric vehicles.
Further emphasizing its utility, Tesla showcased the Cybertruck powering various tools through its 120v/240v bed outlets, offering up to 9.6 kW of available power. The ad also features scenes of a desert party at night, powered by the Cybertruck, underlining its capacity to energize social events in remote locations. The DJ at the party? It was none other than the dude who was driving the Ford F-150 Lightning that ran out of battery on the side of the road.
Notably, the advertisement diverges from Tesla’s usual practice of featuring iPhones, instead highlighting the Nothing phone, an Android smartphone from the former co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei. This move has garnered attention, marking a departure from the brand’s typical product associations.
The “Power Anything” campaign underscores Tesla’s commitment to innovation and versatility in its electric vehicle offerings, positioning the Cybertruck as a multifaceted tool for power supply in diverse environments.
