Tesla looks to have shipped its first software update of 2024 that offers a new feature for vehicles with matrix LED headlights and possible regular headlights as well?
That’s according to a screenshot shared on the TFF-Forum (via @eraz00r).
Today, Tesla started rolling out 2024.2 according to TeslaFi. The limited rollout might be heading to employee vehicles first.
Here are what the translated 2024.2 release notes say for the section on Adaptive High Beam:
The high beam now adjusts itself to reduce glare for other drivers and cyclists.
By detecting other road users and selectively dimming individual pixels of the headlights, the high beam can remain activated for longer, which allows better visibility at night.
To turn it on, go to your vehicle settings > Lighting > Adaptive High Beam.
This is a great update as Tesla’s high beam can sometimes be erratic and owners can get ‘flashed’ by oncoming traffic.
As more release notes from 2024.2 roll out, we’ll keep you updated on what else is new. Feel free to email ti**@********th.com to share your findings.
