Beyond launching the upgraded Model 3 in North America on late Tuesday, Tesla has also debuted the refreshed electric sedan in Taiwan (via @Tslachan).
Despite the close proximity of Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, China, the upgraded Model 3 for Taiwan will be imported from the company’s factory in Fremont, California, due to geopolitical reasons.
The Model 3 RWD is priced from $1,699,900 NTD ($54,658 USD) and Long Range from $1,999,900 NTD ($64,304 USD), showing Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) range of 527 km and 608 km respectively.
As of writing, there are no estimated delivery dates yet (these will take time to arrive in Taiwan from California by ship), but it’s possible to place an order for the upgraded Model 3 in Taiwan.
Last fall, Tesla launched the Model Y in Taiwan, imported from the company’s Gigafactory in Berlin.
