
Tesla has launched sales of its Model Y Long Range in New Zealand, priced at $77,900, with an estimated delivery window of March to April 2024.
The vehicle boasts a 533km range under the WLTP standard, a top speed of 217 km/h, and an acceleration of 0-100 km in 5.0 seconds. The starting price for the standard Model Y is set at $67,900, featuring Pearl White Multi-Coat as the included color option. The performance variant of the Model Y is available starting at $89,900.
On Thursday night, Tesla introduced new color options, Stealth Grey and Ultra Red, for the Model Y in Canada and the USA.
Significantly, Tesla has expanded its Supercharger network in 2023, increasing its presence by 67% in Australia and 60% in New Zealand. This expansion has resulted in over 570 charging stalls across more than 100 Supercharger sites in both countries.
Additionally, Tesla began delivering upgraded Model 3 vehicles across Australia and New Zealand on December 23, 2023. Notably, in October 2023, the Model Y achieved the status of Australia’s best-selling passenger car and SUV, marking a significant milestone for Tesla in the region.
