We’re just days away from Tesla’s first-ever Cybertruck delivery event, set to take place at Giga Texas.
Ahead of Cybertruck finally becoming ‘real’, we’re seeing more Cybertrucks on the road and hitting up showrooms in Canada and the USA. Now, we’re seeing what Sentry mode looks like on the Cybertruck’s touch screen.
Sentry mode is essentially the system on a Tesla that starts recording events when people walk by your car. Usually, a big red dot shows on your car’s touchscreen, a sign to nearby folks that cameras are watching (previously this was a HAL 9000 dot but MGM got mad).
Now for Cybertruck, we are seeing an exclusive ‘Cyber Owl’ whose eyes glow a scary red should you trigger a Sentry mode recording. Check it out below as shared by @omg_tesla:
This is just so freaking cool. There’s nothing like seeing an angry Cyber Owl staring down at you for getting too close to the Cybertruck.

I know I’ve lost a few cognitive abilities over the years so I won’t blame the video, but I can’t make a thing out of it. I just don’t’ see an owl of any kind, angry or glowering or anything at all. My glasses work fine. Must be something psychological. Deep! Maybe I have to wait until mine arrives in 2025(?) to see it in person ha!
