Tesla has reduced the estimated delivery times for its Model Y vehicles in Europe to 2 to 3 weeks for all trims, including RWD, Long Range, and Performance.
These vehicles are manufactured at Tesla’s Gigafactory Berlin in Germany. The shortened delivery times suggest either that the demand for Model Y is currently below the production levels for the fourth quarter of the year, or Giga Berlin has been able to ramp up for the final quarter of the year.
Giga Berlin achieved a 5,000 cars per week production milestone back in March of this year.
According to the change spotted by @Tslachan, some have speculated Tesla may consider lowering prices to stimulate demand in the last quarter. The move to reduce delivery times could be a strategy to align production with existing demand levels.
As for North America, Model Y estimated delivery dates right now are showing October-November 2023 for all three trims as well. That is a similar timeline to what’s available in Europe it seems.
