Tesla has extended the free three-month trial of its Full-Self Driving (FSD) Beta Capability for customers who purchased their vehicles using a referral link and received vehicles with Hardware 4 (HW4), such as the Model S, Model X and Model Y.
The extension was confirmed by Tesla owners sharing the news received by email, such as Dan Burkland and Dirty Tesla.
The trial can be activated through the ‘Vehicle Settings’ on the in-car touchscreen by selecting ‘Autopilot’ and then ‘Full Self-Driving Beta.’
Customers interested in continuing with the FSD Capability after the trial expires can do so by accessing the ‘Upgrades’ tab within the Tesla app. Tesla emphasizes that FSD Capability necessitates active driver supervision and does not make the vehicle autonomous, advising drivers to be prepared to take control at any moment.
