Polestar 3 Nears Completion After Hot Weather Tests in UAE

Polestar announced that the development of its upcoming Polestar 3 model is nearing completion, following two weeks of rigorous hot weather testing in the United Arab Emirates.

Production is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2024, expanding Polestar’s lineup to include three models, with the addition of two new SUVs, Polestar 3 and Polestar 4.

After making its global dynamic debut at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, Polestar 3 prototypes were taken to the UAE for fine-tuning. A team of engineers conducted tests in the urban areas and deserts around Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where temperatures soared up to 50 degrees Celsius (122°F). This is part of a series of extreme weather tests that Polestar vehicles undergo during their development phase.

“The Polestar 3 development and testing program is progressing well, and I expect production to start in Q1 2024,” said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, in a statement on Tuesday. “Polestar 3 is at the start of its journey and customers can now visit our retail locations around the world to see its great proportions and sit in its exclusive and innovative interior.”

Polestar 3 prototypes are now on display in selected Polestar Spaces across 27 markets, and test drive cars will be available in 2024. In North America, all 31 Polestar Spaces feature a Polestar 3 for customer exploration. The vehicle is also available for purchase online.
