Elon Musk Teases Cybertruck Performance Version

Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently dropped hints about a performance-oriented version of the company’s upcoming all-electric Cybertruck.

In a comment made on his social media platform, X, Musk stated on Friday evening, “I just drove the performance Cybertruck today and it kicks ass next-level.”

The comment was in response to a post by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley, which discussed the possibility of a Tesla Model 3 Plaid version. While Musk denied the existence of such a Model 3 variant, he indirectly confirmed the development of a performance version of the Cybertruck.

Tesla offers performance versions of the Model S/X in the form of more expensive Plaid variants. For Model 3 and Y, there are Performance versions. It would seem that Cybertruck would follow this trend.

The company has yet to confirm the latest Tesla Cybertruck specs, as all we know is from the company’s website that states 0-60 mph times of as fast as 2.9 seconds.

The Cybertruck is expected to enter production later this year in Texas and a delivery event was supposed to happen in Q3. Let’s wait and find out…
