Jaguar Partners with Tesla to Offer Supercharger Access in North America

Jaguar has entered into an agreement with Tesla to provide its current and future customers with access to Tesla’s expansive Supercharger network across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The deal is part of Jaguar’s broader strategy to transition into an all-electric luxury brand and aims to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem globally.

Starting in 2025, Jaguar’s next-generation electric vehicles sold in North America will come equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector, eliminating the need for an adapter.

“This agreement will enable Jaguar drivers with NACS-equipped vehicles in the USA, Canada, and Mexico to use Superchargers without an adapter,” said Mark Camilleri, Director of Electrification Services, in a statement on Thursday.

Jaguar will also source and supply adapters from Tesla for its existing I-PACE drivers once they become available. The in-house battery and power electronics technology developed by Jaguar is designed to optimize charging rates on both V3 and V4 Superchargers, offering Jaguar drivers a seamless and efficient charging experience.

The partnership is a significant milestone in Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) ‘Reimagine’ strategy, which focuses on transforming Jaguar into an all-electric modern luxury brand and achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2039.

“Tesla has created a charging network across the globe that delivers fast, reliable, and convenient chargers. We are delighted to be working with them to provide access for Jaguar clients,” added Camilleri.

Jaguar joins a growing list of automakers adopting the NACS connector. Other companies that have joined NACS include:
