Tesla Announces Further Price Cuts for Model 3 in Thailand

In a move to boost sales and appeal to a broader market, Tesla has announced significant discounts on its Model 3 range in Thailand. The latest price reductions on August 6, are as follows (via @Tslachan):

• Model 3 RWD is now priced at 1,659,000 THB, reflecting a discount of 100,000 THB (5.7%).
• Model 3 Long Range has been reduced to 1,879,000 THB, a cut of 120,000 THB (6%).
• Model 3 Performance is now available for 2,059,000 THB, with a substantial discount of 250,000 THB (10.8%).

This recent price adjustment comes on the heels of earlier discounts announced in June. On June 5, Tsla Chan reported the following price cuts:

• Model 3 RWD was priced at 1,709,000 THB after a 50,000 THB discount (2.9%)
• Model 3 Long Range was available for 1,939,000 THB, reflecting a 60,000 THB reduction (3%).
• Model 3 Performance was offered at 2,239,000 THB, a discount of 70,000 THB (3%).

Additionally, customers who availed of the June discounts were given until June 30, 2023, to pick up their vehicles. They also had the option to choose between a complimentary first-class insurance or a home charger.

These strategic price reductions underscore Tesla’s commitment to making its vehicles more accessible to consumers in Thailand and potentially capturing a larger market share in the region. It’s also a sign of Tesla trying to spur more sales in the country for the third quarter.

The first Model 3 and Model Y deliveries in Thailand took place back in February of this year.
