A Tesla Cybertruck was spotted charging at the company’s Giga Texas factory, as spotted in a video update on the construction progress at the site, shared by local drone pilot Joe Tegtmeyer on Friday.

The Cybertruck, which was seen at the Superchargers at Giga Texas, had plastic still on the seats, suggesting its newly-built status. It also had new vehicle barcode labels on the front hood, bumper, and hanging off the rearview mirror. These details suggest that the vehicle might be a brand-new production unit or possibly one of the very first true production Cybertrucks.

The video also provided a chance to see how charging works and how the Cybertruck fits within a parking space. A comparison was made between the size of a Model Y and the Cybertruck, with the latter’s dashboard size also being highlighted.

The video update covered a wide range of ongoing construction and development work at the site, including the West Support Facility.

This sighting of a Supercharging Cybertruck is believed to be the first of its kind, marking a significant step forward in Tesla’s ambitious plans for its electric truck. The Cybertruck’s journey towards mass production appears to be well underway, with this sighting raising anticipation for its official launch, expected in Q3 of this year.
