Tesla has expanded its Magic Dock to Superchargers in Texas, which allows non-Tesla electric vehicles to charge at sites as well, thanks to the built-in CCS adapter.
Magic Docks were unofficially confirmed on August 1, 2023, when Tesla owner Jared observed the installers working at the Eastchase Fort Worth Supercharger location, right next to Arlington.
Jared said the installers were testing the new chargers with a rental F-150 Lightning. However, he later noted that they seemed to be experiencing some unspecified issues with the system. Details of the problems were not revealed, but an announcement regarding the situation might be coming soon.
The new Magic Dock site’s official opening was confirmed today on August 2, 2023, by Branden Flasch, who also shared the pricing details after visiting the Supercharger. The charging rates are set at $0.45 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for non-Tesla vehicles without membership and $0.33 per kWh for Tesla drivers or non-Tesla drivers with membership.

The expansion of Magic Dock in Texas marks a significant step in Tesla’s efforts to make its Supercharging network accessible to non-Tesla EVs. It also indicates Tesla’s commitment to enhancing the EV charging infrastructure across the state and the nation.
The Eastchase Fort Worth location is the latest in a series of Magic Dock expansions across various cities, highlighting Tesla’s strategy to cater to the increasing demand for accessible and affordable EV charging solutions.
Earlier this year, Tesla revealed the first Superchargers with Magic Docks, primarily in New York and California only, but now we’re seeing sites expand.
