2024 Chevy Blazer EV Pricing and Range Revealed, Now Shipping to Dealers

General Motors has started shipping of its much-anticipated Chevrolet Blazer EV, with the official pricing for the trims set to be released later this year.

The first of the Blazer EVs, the RS all-wheel-drive trim, began shipping from GM’s plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, to dealers on Monday. The vehicle, which boasts an estimated range of 279 miles on a full charge, is priced higher than initially anticipated.

“Customer reception for the Blazer EV has been very strong,” said Chad Lyons, a Chevrolet spokesperson, in an email to the Detroit Free Press. However, he refrained from providing specific reservation numbers due to competitive reasons.

The Blazer EV is the latest in GM’s line of new EVs built on the Ultium propulsion system, set to roll out this year. The first was the 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup in late 2021, followed by the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq SUV last year.

Earlier this year, the Chevrolet Silverado EV was launched for commercial consumers, with availability to retail buyers slated for next year. GM also plans to launch the Chevrolet Equinox EV and Cadillac Celestiq high-end luxury EV later this year.

The Blazer EV will be available in three trims: LT (luxury trim), RS (rally sport), and SS (super sport). The RS rear-wheel-drive version and the 2LT AWD trims are set to launch this fall, with the 2LT front-wheel drive as the entry-level option due next year. A Police Pursuit Vehicle will also be available early next year.

The SS trim, initially scheduled for launch late this year, has been pushed back to begin production in the spring of 2024. This model is Chevy’s first electric performance model capable of producing up to 557 horsepower and up to 648 lb-ft of torque. It features a WOW (Wide Open Watts) mode, enabling it to go from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds.

The official pricing for the trims rolling out this year is as follows:

  • RS AWD: $60,215
  • RS RWD: $61,790
  • 2LT AWD: $56,715

The range for the 2LT and RS AWD is 279 miles on a full charge, while the RS RWD trim is expected to achieve an estimated 320-mile range on a full charge.

Customers who purchase the 2024 Blazer EV may be eligible for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500. GM will take orders for each trim closer to the respective launch dates.
