Rumor: Tesla Model 3 ‘Highland’ Includes Ventilated Seats and More [VIDEO]

Tesla’s Model 3 ‘Highland’ refresh has been spotted numerous times in the wild, camouflaged but its new headlights seemingly showing through.

Now, we’re hearing of rumored updates to this Model 3 as per Kelvin Yang (@KelvinYang7). He claims the refreshed Model 3 will include ventilated seats, ambient lighting and an upgraded sound system.

A video shared by @xiaoteshushu shows what claims to be the new ventilated seat for the Model 3, seemingly from the Gigafactory Shanghai factory floor or filmed by a supplier. You can see the perforated seat that showcases what ventilated seats normally have:

The seat looks like one from a Model 3 or Model Y, with a Tesla logo on the product part sticker underneath.

At this point, it’s unclear if these rumoured upgrades will trickle to the Model Y. It would seem weird for the Model 3 to get ventilated seats and not the Model Y. A recent Model 3 ‘Highland’ prototype was spotted driving around with the newest Hardware 4 (HW4) upgrade, according to images of its exterior cameras. So far, new Model Y builds from Giga Texas have been seen with HW4 as well.

Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai is rumoured to be producing Model 3 ‘Highland’, with some lines said to be pausing to upgrade tooling earlier this year.
