Tesla’s Chief Designer on Motortrend Podcast Talks Cybertruck and More [VIDEO]
A new episode of Motortrend’s InEVitable Podcast includes a conversation with Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen, as hosted by the publication’s Ed Loh and Jonny Lieberman.
The topics discussed ranged from Holzhausen’s background in design to Tesla’s success and the Supercharger network, all the way to discussing media pushback and disinformation.
It also discusses a range of personal themes and background about Holzhausen himself, including the fact that he’s been trying to learn to play the guitar for fun.
The podcast starts out with Lieberman pointing out how ubiquitous Tesla’s vehicles have become.
In response, Holzhausen discusses how, in the early days of Tesla, he and the company hoped that there would be more of their vehicles on the road than the Toyota Prius — which is widely considered to be one of the pioneers of electric vehicles (EVs) because of their popularization of the hybrid engine.
Holzhausen was also featured in an interview with IGN in January for the outlet’s Ride the Lightning podcast. In that episode, Holzhausen largely talks about the Cybertruck, the next-generation Roadster and more.
