First Tesla Model S/X Vehicles Arrive at Port in China

Tesla appears to be nearing the first customer deliveries of its latest Model S and Model X, as a batch of the vehicles have landed in China.
That’s according to info shared by @Tslachan, who noted 867 Model S and Model X vehicles made their way into Tianjin Port in China, arriving aboard the ship K.Asian Beauty from Pier 80 in San Francisco. The ship arrived on March 12, 2023.
First Model S and Model X deliveries in China are expected at the end of March.
Back in October 2022, a Model S Plaid was spotted unloading in China.
Tesla announced Model S/X pricing in China this January, while saying the first deliveries would take place in the first half of 2023. Despite Gigafactory Shanghai operating in China, the latter only produces Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in high volume. The Model S and Model X remains manufactured at Tesla’s facility in Fremont, California, and requires exporting to other countries.
