
Tesla has released its first update of 2023, as software version 2023.2.0.5 is rolling out.
According to 2023.2.0.5 release notes, we have the following new features and changes, according to Not a Tesla App and @greentheonly, which includes the previously mentioned auto heated steering with low and high settings, plus more:
Auto Steering Wheel (Model 3, Model Y)
- When a threat is detected, Sentry Mode will softly pulse the headlights to indicate that your vehicle is recording video. The pulsing stops after 60 seconds or when the vehicle is unlocked.
Sentry Mode Lighting (Model 3, Model Y)

Speed Assist (Germany & Spain with HW3)
- Speed Assist now leverages your car’s cameras to detect speed limit signs. This improves the accuracy of speed limit data on local roads and highways in select countries. Detected speed limit signs will be displayed in the driving visualization.
Thai Voice Navigation
- Your navigation voice guidance is now available in Thai. To switch your language setting, tap Controls > Display > Voice Navigation Language.

According to @greentheonly, some other features he spotted in the software code:
- underneath looks like Icelandic language was added
- some chime for street cars(???)
- some option to skip unnecessary lane changes getting ready?
- some warnings about charging unavailable in cold temperatures
