Musk to Tesla Employees: Don’t Be ‘Bothered By Stock Market Craziness’

Tesla CEO Elon Musk emailed staff warning them against being “bothered by stock market craziness” on Wednesday, after the company’s shares dropped by roughly 70 percent on the year, as reported by Reuters.

In the email, Musk also said he still thinks that Tesla will be the world’s most valuable company someday, echoing past claims from the CEO.

“Btw, don’t be too bothered by stock market craziness. As we demonstrate continued excellent performance, the market will recognize that,” Musk wrote in the email. “Long-term, I believe very much that Tesla will be the most valuable company on Earth!”

The statements came in the midst of Musk encouraging employees to work toward ramping up deliveries to finish out the final quarter of the year, another common theme for Tesla’s end-of-quarter delivery pushes.

“Please go all out for the next few days and volunteer to help deliver if at all possible. It will make a real difference!” Musk said.

The news comes amidst concerns about cooling demand in the electric vehicle (EV) market, and alongside fresh criticism of Musk in his new management of Twitter.

According to data from Refinitiv shared by Reuters, analysts forecast Tesla to reach 442,452 vehicles delivered in the fourth quarter.

As of writing, shares of Tesla are up 5.7% on the day, trading at $119.14 per share.
