Tesla has started rolling out its 2022.28.1 software update and release notes are now available, as shared by TeslaUpdates.org.
New for Model S/X owners in Canada are updates to the Status Bar, now bringing some quick controls to the top of the touchscreen map. Example controls are door lock/unlock, phone calls, alarms and profiles.
We heard about Alternate Routes earlier today and now we have more details. Those with Premium Connectivity (which provides real-time traffic information) can now view up to three routes when navigating to a destination. You can then compare travel time and traffic for each route.
2022.28.1 also brings Smart Summon for customers in Japan, when users are wishing six meters of their vehicle.
The update also brings improvements to Theater Mode that were first seen in 2022.28, allowing the main screen to be minimized so car controls can be accessed.
Also new is Portuguese Voice Navigation, while games Cup Head, Cat Quest and Sonic the Hedgehog get USB port game controller support.
