Tesla has launched a new license plate holder in its online store, with the phrase “Powered by the Sun” etched along the bottom part of the frame.
“Complete the look of your Tesla vehicle and protect your license plate from the elements. Our license plate frame is constructed from stainless steel with a premium satin black finish and features a laser-etched “Powered by the Sun” phrase inspired by the solar-powered products that are helping accelerate the transition to sustainable energy,” explains Tesla.
Your license plate sits inside this frame and tabs help hold your plate together. Tesla says screws and screw caps are not included with the license plate holder, which costs $40 USD.
Recently, Tesla stopped providing its license plate holders for new Model 3 and Model Y deliveries.
