DeLorean Motor Company unveiled its Alpha5 electric vehicle prototype at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance car show in Monterey, California on Thursday.
The Alpha5 is estimated to have a 100 kWh battery and range of 300 miles and also a 0-60 time of 2.99 seconds and a 155 mph top speed, to go with a drag coefficient of 0.23 for the base performance model.
Check out the unveiling of the Alpha5 prototype below as it is being driven to the media unveil today. You can hear one of the hosts say to the audience, “so what do you think about that ladies and gentlemen?”, with a few sparse cheers in the audience in response:

It’s unclear how much the Alpha5 will cost and when it will hit production and be available for customers.
Today also was the launch of the Mattel Creations Hot Wheels x DeLorean | DMC-12 & Alpha5 Collector Set, priced at $40 USD and shipping in November 2023.
