Tesla Trade-In Estimate Website Returns, Offers Price Range
As demand for Tesla’s electric vehicles (EVs) remains high, the automaker has reinstated a page detailing rough estimates for EV trade-in value
Tesla has made its trade-in estimate page operational once again, as can be seen on the company’s website (via Reddit).
The web page shows a place to enter your VIN, before the user is supposed to click next.
Upon submitting the vehicle info, the web page emails users estimates for potential trade-in value.

One user in the thread with a 2022 Model Y Performance said they were quoted for an estimated trade-in range of $62,000-$66,000, after purchasing the vehicle at $72,000.
The user said it was a “low offer” from Tesla, and found that Kelley Blue Book estimated the vehicle’s value at $75,000-$79,000.
Others paid less than what the trade-in estimate page offered, such as a user with a 2021 Model S, which is being estimated for trade-in at $104,000 — despite the fact that the user only paid $95,000 about a year ago.
Many users also speculated as to how Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta would fit into the prices, with some wondering if the price was already baked into their estimates.
Last year, some owners noticed that their used Tesla trade-in prices were going up, some by as much as $10,000.
