You Can Attend Tesla’s 2022 Annual Meeting In-Person by Random Draw
Tesla’s 2022 annual meeting of stockholders is set for Thursday, August 4, 2022, set to kick off at 4:30pm CT. It will be live-streamed on the web, plus an in-person event will be available as well, determined by random draw.
You can join the 2022 Tesla annual meeting of shareholders virtually by clicking this link. “The virtual meeting will feature the same live audio webcasts accessible to the general public above, plus the option to submit votes and written comments on meeting agenda items.
In order to join the virtual meeting, you will need a 15-digit secure “control number” unique to you,” explains Tesla. This code is available on the paper proxy card set to be mailed to shareholders, or by registering in advance with your bank, broker or other organization for a “legal proxy”.
As for attending the 2022 Tesla annual meeting in person at Giga Texas located at 1 Tesla Road in Austin, the company says a “limited number” will be able to attend, determined by “random drawing” to “maximize fairness”.
“If you were a stockholder on June 6, 2022, you may apply for this drawing,” says Tesla. Those seeking to apply for a chance to attend in-person will need to upload evidence of proper Tesla stock ownership.
Tesla says “entries must be made by Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:59 PM Central Time,” and no guests are allowed per chosen stockholder. Those selected will be notified by email and have 48 hours to respond whether they will attend or not.
Shareholders are being encouraged to vote “FOR” on the first five proposals, which include the authorization to increase common stock by 4 billion shares, to facilitate a 3-for-1 stock split.
You can visit Tesla’s 2022 shareholder meeting page here to see the details and apply to attend in-person. You can click here to view proxy materials and vote.
