Tesla Model S with ‘Caramel’ Vegan Leather from von Holzhausen Teased [VIDEO]
Tesla’s vehicles are well-known for featuring luxurious, well-designed interiors, and a new vegan leather featured in a teaser video from von Holzhausen, the company run by Vicki von Holzhausen, wife of the automaker’s design chief Franz, of the same last name.
A new teaser shared on Thursday shows off the company’s new vegan leather, saying that there will be “more to come” on June 21.

In addition to the alternative leather, it appears the video shows the interior of a Model S, hinting that the automaker could be looking to add the color to its customization options. We can see the center console and also the yoke steering wheel found inside the Model S.
In the thread, the @vonHolzhausen account says the color depicted in the video was dubbed “Caramel.”
The @vonHolzhausen account also goes on to explain that the world’s population can’t consume meat at the scale we currently do, adding that a move to alternative meat is “a good solution.”
Franz von Holzhausen joined Jay Leno for a video breaking the world 1/4-mile record in a Tesla Model S Plaid last year, also showing off the car’s speed and overall feel.
Another video shared last year shows the Tesla Model Y’s interior space in comparison with 12 EV rivals.
