Volkswagen ID Buzz Pre-Orders Start May 20, Pricing from 64,581 Euros

Volkswagen will launch pre-orders for its new ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo electric vans in Germany and most European markets starting Friday, May 20, 2022.

The German automaker will start off by selling the high-end version of the ID. Buzz Pro, starting from 64,581.30 euros (in Germany), or about $68,416 USD (including the roughly 19% Value Added Tax).

The ID. Buzz Pro battery size will be 77 kWh (82 kWh gross), powering a 150 kW (204 PS) electric drive motor at the rear with a torque of 310 Nm. Volkswagen says WLTP consumption is at 20.6 kWh/100 km (Cargo: 20.4 kWh/100 km), with range up to 421 kilometres (Cargo: 424 km)

The battery can be recharged at a DC fast charger from 5 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes, with max charging power of up to 170 kW.

The ID. Buzz Cargo will start from 54,430.60 euros (in Germany), equivalent to $57,663 USD (with roughly 19% Value Added Tax).

Volkswagen’s ID. Buzz Cargo Pro has sliding doors, rear tinted windows, 19-inch alloy wheels, with LED headlights standard and surround lighting with logo projection for the front doors.

The automaker will manufacture the ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo at the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles plant in Hannover, Germany.

The revealing of ID. Buzz European pricing hints at what pricing in the U.S. and Canada could be. According to CNET, a source cites ID. Buzz U.S. pricing will start at around $55,000 USD before fees, incentives and tax credits.
