Vehicle subscription service, Kyte, announced on Thursday it is electrifying its fleet with Tesla Model 3 subscriptions.

Starting first in San Francisco and New York City on April 15, customers will be able to drive a Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD on a subscription, and even have the car delivered to their door. Other areas on the east coast where Kyte Tesla subscriptions will be available include Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City service areas.

Prices are as follows for the following terms offered:

  • 3 months: $1,350/month
  • 6 months: $1,125/month
  • 12 months: $995/month

There’s a $299 startup fee required.

“We clearly see a gap between short-term rentals and leasing or buying a vehicle, and we think subscriptions is the answer,” said Erik Zahnlecker, Kyte’s director of new products, speaking to Business Insider. “People don’t want to wait in line for their groceries, food, shopping, or their car rental, they expect it to be delivered to them. They expect convenience, and that’s what we’re providing.”

Reservations can be made with a $100 refundable deposit and subscriptions can be extended at any time. Kyte Tesla subscriptions include registration, insurance, roadside assistance and maintenance.

Kyte says it will continue to add more electric vehicles to its fleet over time.
