According to the latest drone flyover from Wu Wa on YouTube, we get another glimpse at Luchao Port in China, located roughly 8.1 kilometers (5 miles) from Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, swimming in a sea of Tesla vehicles.

Below, you can get a glimpse of where Giga Shanghai is located compared to the main city centre, plus the close proximity to Luchao Port:

Wu Wa says Luchao Port has become the main export port for Gigafactory Shanghai, due to its close proximity, allowing for quicker transport and logistics to send thousands of Tesla Model 3 and Model Y cars to the port, versus the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Haitong Wharf, located over 50 kilometers away (31 miles).

“This time I came to Luchao Port to shoot. Although there are no ships docked at the dock, it is obvious that the number of Teslas has increased on the freight yard,” said Wu Wa. “Similarly, the space to fill up Teslas is also changing. You can refer to the previous section. The port video of the period shows that Teslas are constantly being transported away and new cars are being filled,” said the channel.

The video shows an incredible number of Tesla Model 3 and Model Y cars perfectly parked and ready for export. According to @SawyerMerritt, his count shows an estimated 6,500+ Tesla cars at Luchao Port. Another replied there were 9,825 Teslas on site. If someone is going to count them all, please let us know your total in the comments below. Our eyes hurt from staring at all these Teslas.

These Tesla vehicles will likely be exported to Europe and until Gigafactory Berlin is approved and starts mass production, Giga Shanghai is still more than ready to fill the void.

As of Q4 2021, Tesla says its Gigafactory in Shanghai has the capability to produce over 450,000 Model 3 and Model Y cars annually.

“Production of both Model 3 and Model Y continued to ramp further throughout 2021,” said Tesla of Giga Shanghai. “Local production is essential for reducing the cost per vehicle and improving the stability of the global supply chain. Gigafactory Shanghai continues to be our main export hub,” said the automaker.
