Tesla Model Y Cars Spotted on Delivery Truck Leaving Giga Texas
According to drone pilot Jeff Roberts (@peterdog15), we may have our first look at a batch of Tesla Model Y vehicles leaving the production lines of the company’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas.
“A batch of Model Ys fresh off the production lines of Giga Texas,” said Roberts just moments ago, sharing an image of a delivery truck showing eight Model Y Performance vehicles, in a variety of colours, being transported.
We can see 21-inch Uberturbine wheels and red brake calipers, which are only available on Performance versions of the Model Y.

Tesla said at its Q4 2021 earnings call the first vehicles off the Giga Texas line would include its newest 4680 structural battery packs. It’s unclear if these vehicles have 4680 battery packs, but we’ll see once new owners start sharing news of their Giga Texas deliveries. We’ve yet to see owners share screenshots of their upcoming Model Y VINs to identify Giga Texas builds, but if this picture is any indication, we might start seeing them soon.
Below is the latest Giga Texas construction update video shared by Roberts from Sunday, filmed on a very windy day at the site:
