Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess to Hold Reddit AMA on February 16
The head of Volkswagen received too much interest in an upcoming event announced this week, causing the automaker to push it back.
Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess had to push back an upcoming Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit by 48 hours, after saying that there are “already good questions” (via Twitter).
New Date: We have to push the AMA @Reddit back 48 hours. There are already good questions that I received. At least I’ll have more questions to answer as a result, see you Wednesday Feb 16th at 12.00 EST: https://t.co/QJed4t6mU1 pic.twitter.com/My0upVWLEP

The initial AMA was set for February 14, but in the post, Diess explains that Volkswagen had to push the session back. Diess’ new AMA session is set for February 16 at 12:00 EST.
Still, several days prior to the session, the Reddit thread has amassed 476 comments already, and counting.
In the post, Diess wrote, “My apologies to all Redditors, we have to push the AMA back 48 hours. There are already good questions that I have received here.” Diess contained, “At least I’ll have more questions to answer as a result, see you Wednesday Feb 16th at 12.00 EST.”
All-electric vehicle sales jumped by 97 percent for Volkswagen in 2021.
In December, a report detailed internal power struggles at Volkswagen, to which Diess seemed to narrowly remain in his position.
According to a statement from Diess in January, Volkswagen plans to reveal its ID Buzz electric van on March 9.
Last year, Volkswagen shared plans to stop selling gas cars entirely by 2035.
