Tesla has shared a new video on its LinkedIn page, detailing a behind-the-scenes look of its latest V11 software update released during the holidays in December (via @SawyerMerritt).

The company’s engineers shared some more details about the features and also how they were made. We learned that Tesla added ramping capability to all different parts of the headlights for Model 3 and Y owners for the first time, showing all various parts to be able to light up and down. The Tesla Light Show also offers 46 channels to turn on and off.

Tesla says there were 8 people involved with the Tesla Light Show, including interns, all willing to stick around nights and weekends to make the feature come to life.

We see how engineers tested the Megaphone feature, the new customizable user interface and gestures.

As for adding Sonic the Hedgehog, Tesla engineers just downloaded the ROM from Sega and added it to the car, as an emulator was already in place, so it was relatively easy.

These behind-the-scenes details are for Tesla to recruit engineers to the company and we’ve previously seen other videos shared on LinkedIn, such as this one trying to find employees for operations in Canada.
