DragTimes has shared a video of Tesla’s Model S Plaid against the Lucid Air Dream Edition in a series of drag races at the Hennessey drag strip in Sealy, Texas.
The YouTube channel shared some 1/4 mile times of the Lucid Air Dream Edition last week and now we have footage of the electric sedan with 1,111 horsepower up against the Model S Plaid and its 1,020 horsepower.
It was a windy and cold day, and in four races the Model S Plaid won three of them. The lone race the Lucid Air Dream Edition won was when the Model S Plaid had launch control disabled.
Lucid Motors reached out to DragTimes, after the channel had previously shared 1/4 miles times in tests with the car. The automaker proceeded to share tips on how to squeeze out a faster 1/4 mile time, but declined to provide a press vehicle for the channel to test, instead sticking to regular mainstream news outlets to tout the luxury aspect of the Lucid Air.
Next up, DragTimes will have footage of a Porsche Taycan Turbo S EV racing the Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Dream Edition at the same time.
