Tesla 2021 Holiday Update for Model S (2021+): Comfort Dampening, Megaphone and More [VIDEO]
Tesla has started rolling out its 2021.44.25.5 software update, which contains the company’s 2021 holiday update.
While we’ve heard about features for the Model 3 and Model Y, we now have our first look at release notes for the Model S refresh, which gets some exclusive features, according to Ryan Shaw (@ryanshawtech).
Boombox Megaphone is described as “project your voice with additional authority using the new Megaphone function. Tap Toybox > Boombox > Megaphone. Tesla says your car needs to be in park to use the feature.

This feature is also available from the Tesla mobile app in the U.S. as part of Sentry Mode, but it appears only the Model S refresh can do it right from within the car.
As for Comfort Dampening Suspension in Autopilot, Tesla says “your vehicle will now automatically transition to Comfort Suspension Dampening when Autopilot is engaged,” a setting now enabled by default. You can disable the feature by going to Controls > Suspension > Use Comfort Dampening in Autopilot.
