Tesla 2021.44.25.5 Software Update: FSD 10.8 Beta and Holiday Update
Tesla has started rolling out its 2021.44.25.5 software update, as noted by Teslascope (@teslascope) over on Twitter. The update brings Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta 10.8 to internal testers and also adds some holiday cheer to it. Model 3 vehicles in the U.S. were previously running 2021.44.5.5.

New version of the FSD beta aside, one highlight of the update is that it adds an option for full-screen visualization on the center console touchscreen with FSD engaged, removing the map that was previously found on the right side.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk originally said the update should be expected Tuesday, December 21, before revealing on Wednesday that it had been pushed to December 23.
The previous iteration of the FSD beta was version 10.6.1, released earlier this month with software update 2021.36.8.10. As for why Tesla has skipped version 10.7 and gone straight to 10.8, Musk said in a tweet that “10.8 is close, so just jumping to that.”
Tesla previously released another holiday software update (2021.44.25) on Monday, with Christmas-themed features, a ‘Light Show’ addition to the Toybox on Model 3/Y, and a refreshed UI.
