
On Saturday evening, Tesla started to roll out its Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta 10.6 to external testers, that came with the company’s 2021.36.8.9 software update.
Shortly afterwards, we saw the first drives of FSD beta 10.6 hit YouTube.
James Locke based in Santa Clarita, California, drives the same test routes with every new version of FSD beta, to show how the autonomous system improves.
“Not [too] bad a drive on Test Loop 1 with FSD Beta 10.6,” explained Locke, adding there were “zero interventions,” but “some areas I could have intervened but [chose] not to as [there was] no traffic so let things play out.”
He did not FSD beta did have his Model 3 stop too far back from a stop sign, while had a jerky stop at a red light. But speed controls on turns were “very smooth” and “overall a very nice drive.”
