Tesla has increased the price of its Model Y Tow Package on Wednesday, increasing the price to $1,300 USD, up $100 USD from its previous price of $1,200 USD.
“Equip your Model Y with a high-strength steel tow bar and 2” hitch receiver capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds on all wheel configurations,” explains Tesla’s website.
The package in the Tesla Shop includes:
- 1x high-strength steel tow bar with 2″ hitch receiver and North America 7-pin standard connector
- 1x trailer harness
- 1x tow mode software package
If you opt for the Tow Hitch when you pre-order a Model Y, the package costs $1,000 USD. Tesla introduced this Tow Package for the Model Y in the United States back in the summer of 2020.
Tesla has increased the prices of its vehicles and accessories as of late, as global supply chain pressures reduce supply, it appears. Just last week, its Wall Connector also increased in price in the United States.
